Peter Greenaway's notorious 1989 fable of gluttony, cruelty and revenge, staged like a grotesque painting come to life. Join us in our new pop-up Southside cinema in a converted warehouse on Niddrie Road for this special screening.
A gangster, his abused wife, and her lover in a restaurant that becomes the setting for one of the most visually extravagant and shocking films ever made. Cult, controversial, and rarely screened – for anyone who likes their cinema with teeth.

Funeral Parade of Roses

Toshio Matsumoto's radical 1969 Japanese New Wave classic follows a trans woman navigating Tokyo's underground gay bar scene, told through a dazzling collage of documentary interviews, jump cuts and fourth-wall-breaking asides. A hugely influential film — it's often cited as a touchstone for Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange — and a rare chance to see it as it was meant to be seen: on the big screen, with an audience.

Offline teams up with Glasgow Supper Club for a five-course vegan tasting menu celebrating the multiple culinary heritages of Govanhill. Ingredients are sourced from local growers and suppliers across the area. Expect a warm, communal evening inside the pop-up cinema and arts space Offline is fighting to transform – with every ticket supporting the fundraiser for new, fully accessible toilets.

A screening of bold new artists’ moving image works from across the UK

Selected 16 presents a vibrant collection of new short films by some of the most exciting early-career artists working today, nominated by artists shortlisted for the Film London Jarman Award 2025 - Arwa Aburawa & Turab Shah, Morgan Quaintance, George Finlay Ramsay and Hope Strickland. Curated by videoclub and Film London Artists’ Moving Image Network (FLAMIN), this compelling programme tours leading arts venues across the UK.
Bringing together nine distinctive artists' films, Selected 16 offers a snapshot of early career artists’ moving image practice today. Across documentary, essay film, experimental cinema and analogue filmmaking, the programme explores themes of memory, identity, ecology, migration, community and belonging.
From haunted landscapes and ancestral histories to collective rituals, activist perspectives and personal acts of remembrance, the selected works reveal the breadth, ambition and urgency of contemporary moving image practice across the UK. They reflect how artists are responding to the social, political and environmental realities of the present moment through innovative approaches to film and storytelling. Selected 16 artists are: Chanthila Phaophanit, Che Applewhaite, Chiemi Shimada, Jack Guariento, Leena Habiballa, Rhiana Bonterre, Rosanna Lee and Viviana Almas.
Expect a rich mix of films that are playful, provocative, moving and surprising.

Some years back, brothers Nicolas Blies and Stéphane Huber-Blies of BLIESBRO began to feel that the world was becoming ever more isolating and individuals were growing increasingly remote. So was born a work which seeks to teach us that before we can forge connections with others, each of us must love and understand our own selves. Audience members each don a headset and beautifully made cape, accessories that light up progressively as a narrative of love and self-acceptance is told amid a swirl of healing, energising light projections.
